ABOUT ABOUT

"Inspired by a BRONX Story"

Train with Structure, Inc., an American Red Cross Authorized Provider presents: EVERY SECOND COUNTS - SEE SOMETHING DO SOMETHING!

FAMILIES & FRIENDS - YOU'RE INVITED TO OUR FIRST ANNUAL STOP THE BLEED & CPR COMMUNITY TRAINING EVENT FOR THE YOUTH...

The only thing more tragic than death from bleeding – Is a death that could have been prevented.

The more people who know how to perform proper blood control in a wounded victim, the greater the chance of surviving the injury. You can help save a life by knowing how to stop the bleeding if someone, including yourself, is wounded.

Why learn hands-on CPR?

Sudden Cardiac Arrest strikes approximately 326,200 to 395,000 individuals outside of hospitals each year in the U.S., including an estimated 6,328 people less than 18 years of age. The majority of people who survive a SCA invariably receive immediate help from bystanders at the scene. The time between the onset of arrest and the provision of care determines the likelihood of survival. If treatment is not provided within 1 to 10 minutes, the survival rate is close to 0.

YOU CAN BE A CRITICAL LINK TO THE SURVIVAL OF A VICTIM

Inspired by a Bronx Story – The tragic and brutal death of a 15-year-old teenage boy has inspired us TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! The saddest part of this Bronx story is that no one aided him. With proper blood control, his chances of survival would have increased. There are many reasons why bystanders hesitate to help at times; being afraid they will hurt the victim more – the lack of confidence in their first aid knowledge and not being sure of what they should really do, being the main number one reason.

Our lifesaving training event is dedicated to the youth and will be focusing on blood control and CPR skills, so they can confidently and effectively provide help to an injured victim. Our mission is to bring our youth together, to show them the value of human life and to encourage them to give a helping hand.

Learn Lifesaving Skills while enjoying a community social gathering - Meet new people, enjoy some music and the dance floor, help build alongside other families, a safer future for the youth and have FUN!
